Diva Review: Live Infinitely Muscle Stick Roller

Here we go with another Diva Review. Today we are going to talk about the 18” Live Infinitely Forever Massage Stick.

 

 

I have had a massage stick for quite some time now; however, it was always hit or miss in its use until the past couple of months. After a 10 mile run in January, I had some significant knee pain (mostly focused behind my knee and more pronounced when I sat for a long time and then stood up). Now, this is where it got dicey – FOR ME. If you are a sports fan, then by all means – you better jump in here to score big on some tickets. There were seats available for every Pre-season football game in the area as well as all the other sports. I didn’t look too deep because I have not much interest in sporting events unless it’s an Army Football game (BEAT NAVY SOMEDAY). I did notice that you can search tickets outside of your area as well. So, if you are traveling and want to get in an event or show, this is a great place to search for deals.


Nevertheless, I wasn’t interested in sports, so I started searching for every concert, play, event going on in my geography (DMV) and was VERY DISAPPOINTED. There either wasn’t any availability or there was no more tickets available for any event of interest to me until 2015.

2015 people. Yeah. No.

I ended up doing a generic search of “Family Activities” in the only think at the time that came up was the 2015 Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Baily: Legends Circus. Mmmm. Okay. Let’s see how many tickets I can get.

So, I had $100 to play with. The box office price is $44.65.  Four star seating was already the front rows so I was happy there. You can choose your seating at other venues. I have to enter a bid. I picked 3 tickets at a bid of $32 and my “Success Potential” meter went just into the green. I hit bid. Sad boo boo kitty. It came back as a NO but with a yes IF I changed my bid to $37.50. Okay. I did and I was booked.

16% savings. Great seats. I paid no fee and the tickets were e-tickets that I just download. Princess Cara will have a great time IF I remember I have tickets to this in March 2015.

Would I use this on a regular to get tickets? Not really, unless I was looking to go to a sporting event which ScoreBig.com seems to have a plethora of tickets for. Product Review: Cassani Fogless Shower Mirror

Soooo…I was asked to try this product out and at first, I was like – “Cool, this should be interesting and fun.” However, after trying it out in my shower, I’m more “Ehh, that’s nice, but not practical in my house.”

 

It doesn’t fog up – ever – and I tried. Hard. It does have a cool hook to hang your razor on which I do use on a regular basis for my pits and legs…but here’s the challenge…

 

My husband is 6’3” tall and I’m 5’2” tall. Yeah. So where in da hell do you place the mirror for both of our maximal usage. Since I do not need to see my pits to shave them, I don’t shave my face in or out of the shower, and I don’t need to look in a mirror to shave my legs, I ended up placing it so that The FireMarshall cold use it. I can still kinda see myself if I stand back some, but who cares? I really wasn’t pressed about looking at my face in the shower  before so I wasn’t pressed now.

 

The FireMarshall didn’t care either. He doesn’t shave in the shower. Never has and didn’t start just because I put a mirror in there. I do look at myself as I’m washing and detangling my curls, but I was fine staring at the shower wall too.

 

Bottom line…It never did fog up, thus you can always see yourself. It has a cute & convenient hook to hang your razor on. It works as described and is esthetically pleasing in a no frills kind of way. That’s it.

 

If your man shaves in the shower then by all means. If you have a desire to look at your pits as you shave, knock yourself out. Get one. If I hadn’t been asked to give it a try, I wouldn’t have purchased on my own as I have no purpose for it. It you do, then I can recommend that this mirror will do the trick.

 

And for those of you with your mind in the gutter (I thought about it too), it really isn’t big enough for the get down and dirty watch your own shower action thing. Just sayin’

Diva Review: Even Glow Vitamin C Serum-Antioxidant Skin Treatment

I spent the last month testing the Even Glow Serum - Antioxidant Skin Treatment - 20% Vitamin C by Valentia Skin Care and I was very impressed.

 

After a few days of use my skin was definitely softer and after a few weeks some of the dark spots on my face were noticeably lighter or had faded all together.

 

I have tried other Vitamin C serums before and they have all seemed a tad harsh and caused me to break out (ain’t nobody need all dat at my age). I did have a few “red patches” pop up but nothing like before an it resolved the next day. I looked just like Elphaba – the Wicked Witch of the West from Wicked, but after it was all said and done, by skin was tingly clean and smooth. Loved it.

For a week, my daughter Erin and I made smoothie drinks…

…and they were DELISH!!! I was going to write this laundry list of how Spirit Airlines (@SpiritAirlines) SUCKS major big time, but I found the most awesome website that outlines everything you need to know about this fugged up, nickle and dime your azz to death, lying till their seats are on fire airline.

Yes, Spirit Airlines can be, for some, the cheapest way to travel from point A to point B. To others it's a nightmare organization that has ruined vacations, destroyed business travel plans, taken money without offering agreed upon services and shocked unsuspecting travelers with hidden fees and questionably-ethical policies. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics, Spirit Airlines has seven times more official complaints against them than any other airline operating in the United States. Even the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation has recently warned travelers that Spirit Airlines doesn't care about its customers.

 

While my recent flight itself was uneventful (it took off and it landed on time), everything about this airline that touts itself as the cheap, discount flight airline, there is NOT ONE DAMN THING CHEAP ABOUT IT – AT ALL.

 

Yes, my flight to Dallas was about $100 less that any other airline and there is where it ended. The got me this time – MY BAD. I will NEVER, EVER fly these bastids ever again. I went online to print my boarding pass and you can’t - until you register for their “frequent flier” program and log in. From then on, you have to LOG IN every.single.time. I check in and I’m asked if I plan on taking a CARRY ON or checking any luggage? I check carry on. And then it starts, for $59/year I can save $10 on my baggage fee – but you still gonna pay. Let me get this straight…I give you $60 buck and SAVE $10 per bag per leg. I would have to take 3 flights in a year with them to break even AND I still gotta pay $30 for a MFn’ CARRYON!

 

GTFOOHWTBS.

 

So, now the $100 I saved flying Spirit went up with the $40 ea way carry on fee. Minus $80. BTW, if you don’t check in and print your boarding pass at home, they will charge you a fee…up to $8. Want a glass of water – $3. Soda, Coffee – $3. Snack, Sandwich – up to $15. Shall I go on?

 

Want to pick your seat? from $12-$25 depending on the type of seat. Traveling with your S/O and want to sit together? You BETTER pay for your seat or you will most definitely will be split up. Watched it go down over and over and over on my flight.

 

Seats DO NOT recline and actually that is a good thing because  there is absolutely NO ROOM. NONE. There are ads on the tray tables, they market a credit card to you on the plane, giving away enough points for 3 flights – getting you for interest on the card and more fees to use those miles.

 

The acquisition cost suckers you in and after you are stuck, they collect the rest of the money from you. You end up not saving a damn thing.

 

Spirit Air ain’t got no spirit, no they don’t. Fly @SpiritAirlines at your own risk and the emptying of your wallet.

Princess Cara is a persnickety eater. Holiday Party Time

It’s the season for holiday cheer and parties, parties, parties…and, of course, I have have every intention to get in on the festivities by throwing my Second Annual Holiday Party & Cookie Exchange. Diva Review: How To Catch Happy

How to Catch Happy was a nice, inspirational, quick read. I read it on a Sunday afternoon and while I wasn't quite sure how all the fishing stories were going to work - especially since I don't even like to fish (it certainly isn't what would make me happy), I enjoyed the stories and the bottom line...find out what makes you happy and get busy doing it before life passes you by.

 

This book is not like most of the other self-help, self-improvement books out there - it doesn't have a check list of things to do or exercises to complete. It is just a short collection of stories - actually how 4 people "caught" happy by fishing.

 

While I enjoyed the book (it was short, sweet & to the point) I did find these stories a tad simplistic and wasn't quite sure if the people in the book were actually "happy" now by just fishing or were just sharing their regrets from their lives while fishing and were trying to still find their way to "happy."

 

For the price & length, How to Catch Happy is at least a nice reminder that since life is short, we need to take the time to stop and smell the roses and include the thing or things in our life that truly make us happy. Let's not just do all the things we think we are obligated to do - all duty, honor, family, career - etc. - but include the things that bring true joy & happiness to our life.
